T shirt printing gives t-shirts distinction from the shirts. Simple plain t-shirts look neat, but printed ones are head turners if they have the right style. The print gives t-shirts character and individuality from the plain ones. T shirt printing sorts a regular one from the one that you like to wear.

For consumers, there is a limited choice range available in the market for t-shirt prints. This may work for your advantage if you are thinking of starting your own t-shirt selling business. In t shirt printing, you can either do it yourself or hire a firm to do it for you. But in retail, you don't need a good design, you need a great one.

It is best to have at least a basic know-how on t shirt printing. You need to be educated with the several techniques of printing a shirt and the correct steps on how to stick your design on it. But if you only have a brilliant design idea but don't have either the tools or the adequate knowledge of the procedure, you can still have the t-shirt business you crave by having others do it for you.

There are different techniques in printing t-shirts. The first one is comparatively less expensive silk screening or screen printing. While it is suitable for printing big number of shirts, this technique isn't advisable if you are applying photo quality pictures for your design. Still, t shirt printing this way is said to be the simplest technique. Printing companies can accommodate the big number of paints required for this method, which may prove to be cheaper than doing the procedure yourself and purchasing the paints.

There is also the popular direct-to-garment t shirt printing method and the heat transfer printing. The first one requires the process of directly printing the ink onto the garment, while the latter requires the design to be printed on a carrier paper before it is transferred onto the shirt by the means of heat pressure.

There are other more ways employed in printing t-shirts, some even needs stitching and laser technology. The process you choose should rely on the look you want your t-shirts to achieve.
